PSL: Hyderabad Defeated Islamabad United After a Thrilling Encounter and Qualified for the Final.

In the second eliminator of Pakistan Super League season 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Islamabad United by 2 runs after a thrilling encounter and qualified for the final. In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Hyderabad Kingsmen to bat first. Hyderabad Kingsmen scored 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Usman Khan played an unbeaten innings of 61 runs. In addition, captain Marnus Labuschagne scored 39, Saim Ayub scored 38 runs. Kusal Perera played an innings of 37 runs. For Islamabad, Imad Wasim got 2 wickets, Chris Green, Richard Gleeson and Faheem Ashraf got one wicket each.

In reply, Islamabad United’s team, chasing 187 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, managed to score 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Mark Chapman scored 43 runs, Haider Ali scored 31, Devon Conway scored 30 runs, while Shadab Khan scored 22 and Chris Green scored 21 runs. For Hyderabad, fast bowler Haneen Shah successfully defended 6 runs in the last over and took his team to the final. For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Haneen Shah and Muhammad Ali got 2 wickets each. Hasan Khan, Saim Ayub and Akif Javed got one wicket each.
