Hyderabad Kingsmen beat Islamabad United by 6 wickets to secure their second win in the event. Batting first in the match played in Karachi, Islamabad United scored 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Kiwi opener Devon Conway scored 45 runs, Mark Chapman played an innings of 42 runs, Sameer Minhas scored 22 and Mohammad Faiq scored 18 runs. Hyderabad Kingsmen’s Asif Mahmood got 4 wickets for just 18 runs in two overs, fast bowler Mohammad Ali dismissed two players.
In reply, Hyderabad Kingsmen batsmen played a good game and achieved the target in the 19th over for the loss of four wickets. Captain Marnus Labuschagne played an unbeaten and responsible innings of 61 runs, Saim Ayub scored 35 and opener Moaz Sadaqat scored 30 runs, Glenn Maxwell was not out on 21 runs. Islamabad United’s Chris Green and Faheem Ashraf got two wickets each.
