Pakistan’s Nasir Iqbal has reached the quarterfinals of the Asian Squash Championship. Nasir Iqbal managed to make it to the quarterfinals after his brilliant performance in the ongoing Asian Squash Championship in Kuching, Malaysia, while Noor Zaman faced defeat.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Nasir Iqbal defeated the Hong Kong player and won against Lai Cheuk Nam 11-7, 2-11, 11-5 and 11-8, while in the quarterfinals he will face Hong Kong’s Henry Leung.
On the other hand, World Under-23 Champion Noor Zaman lost his match in the pre-quarterfinals. Noor Zaman suffered an injury during the match, but despite back pain, he completed the match.
Noor Zaman was defeated by Malaysia’s Joasim Chuaha 3-2. The Malaysian player’s winning score against Noor Zaman was 11-3, 11-3, 3-11, 10-12 and 11-2.
