Steve Smith was signed by Sialkot Stallions through a direct signing. According to reports, the franchise acquired him for Rs 1.4 billion (14 crore rupees), making him the most expensive player in PSL history to date. Meanwhile, the franchises have also announced the retention amounts for players ahead of PSL 11. According to the details, Peshawar Zalmi retained Babar Azam, Lahore Qalandars retained Shaheen Afridi, and Islamabad United retained Shadab Khan for Rs 70 million (7 crore rupees) each.
