Shaheen Afridi’s debut in the Big Bash League did not go as planned. Representing the Brisbane Heat, Shaheen conceded 43 runs in 2.4 overs without taking a wicket in his debut match. During his third over, he bowled two beamers, after which the umpire stopped him from continuing to bowl.

Meanwhile, another Pakistani star batter, Mohammad Rizwan, was also unable to make his debut memorable. Playing for the Melbourne Renegades, Rizwan scored just 4 runs off 10 balls. Sydney Sixers’ Babar Azam also disappointed his fans in the first innings, getting out after scoring only 2 runs off 5 balls
