United Arab Emirates’ aggressive middle-order batsman Asif Khan blamed his team’s inexperience for their defeat to the Pakistani team. While holding a press conference after the defeat to the Pakistani team in Sharjah, he said that the defeat was due to the team’s inexperience, otherwise the result could have been different, he said, “We are confident for the Asia Cup.”
After playing a brilliant innings of 77 runs off 35 balls against Pakistan, he said that our plan was to power hit in the last overs, we followed it, but Pakistan’s bowling did not allow our plan to succeed.
Asif Khan also praised the innings of Emirati captain Mohammad Wasim but called Mohammad Wasim’s run-out detrimental. He said that Sharjah is our home ground and it supported us, we have trained hard in the past weeks, it will definitely bear fruit.
Asif Khan said that the real strength of the Emirati cricket team lies in the T20 format and if they can restrict the opponent to 170 or 180 runs through bowling, then the chances of winning are bright. Asif Khan was born in Lahore in 1990 and has played 32 first-class matches from 2007 to 2014.

In the match played in Sharjah yesterday, Pakistan had set the UAE a target of 208 runs to win the match, in response to which the Emirati team could score 176 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
