The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the national squad for the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Salman Ali Agha will lead the Pakistani team. Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi are not part of the T20 squad. The 15-member T20 squad includes captain Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafay, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, and Usman Tariq.
It is worth noting that the Pakistan cricket team will depart for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026. The three T20 International matches between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on January 7, 9, and 11 in Dambulla. This series will play an important role in the selection of the World Cup squad. Khawaja Muhammad Nafay has been included in the team as a wicketkeeper.
