Pakistan Super League CEO Salman Naseer has announced an auction for 2 new franchises. Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Salman Naseer said that when the league started, people were less interested, but 5 parties trusted us and bought the teams. He said that people tried to defame it, but this league continued to grow. All PSL contracts expired in 10 years and we had decided that we would re-evaluate it after the tenth edition.
Salman Naseer said that there will be an auction for two new PSL franchises, and the bidding parties will be given a pool of city names from which they will select a team. He further said that HBL will be the sponsor of the LPS League for the next two years. HBL has signed an agreement on the value that was applied under the Independent Value Asian and this agreement has increased by 505% from the previous agreement.
