Pakistan has won the silver medal at the ITF Masters World Team Championship.
The Over-45 final of the ITF Masters World Team Championship in Portugal was played between Pakistan and top-seeded Spain. After the singles and doubles matches ended 1-1, the decisive singles match saw Spain’s Francisco Martinez Baena defeat Pakistan’s Aqeel Khan 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the title. Pakistan reached the final after defeating the USA, Canada, hosts Portugal, and Sweden. More than 30 countries and over 300 players participated in the championship.
Pakistan is the only Asian country to win a medal at the Masters Cup.
