The Pakistan Veterans team suffered a defeat in their very first match of the Masters Hockey World Cup. In the Over-60 age category match, the Netherlands defeated Pakistan by 10 goals. The Pakistan team, comprising former hockey Olympians, failed to score any goals. The squad includes Olympians Shahbaz Senior, Tariq Sheikh, Khalid Hameed, and others. Besides Pakistan, the Netherlands, Wales, and Ireland are also part of Group D. Pakistan will play its next match against Ireland on August 9 and against Wales on August 11.
