The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to auction Multan Sultans as well. Earlier, the PCB had announced that it would run Multan Sultans’ affairs itself for PSL 11, but according to the latest development, the franchise will now be put up for sale. Sources revealed that the auction of the two new PSL teams exceeded PCB’s expectations. Due to the strong prices fetched by the two new franchises, the PCB has now decided to auction Multan Sultans as well.
The PCB believes this is the best possible time to sell Multan Sultans. The franchise will be sold through open bidding, for which an advertisement will be issued soon. A formal announcement will be made after reviewing all legal aspects. Following the record-breaking sale of two franchises and growing interest from foreign investors, several parties have shown interest in acquiring Multan Sultans. As a result, the PCB is optimistic that the franchise will be sold at a strong price.
