The Indian Cricket Board has confirmed that it will put Pakistan’s logo on the shirts for the Champions Trophy. The team’s shirts for the Champions Trophy will feature Pakistan’s name on the ICC-approved logo. As Pakistan is the host of the Champions Trophy, all participating countries’ shirts must display the logo of the host country.
In the last few days, it was revealed through the Indian media that the Indian team will not put the logo with the name of Pakistan on their shirts. Secretary Indian Cricket Board Devajit Saikia has said that we will follow the guidelines of the ICC. In the Champions Trophy, the Indian jersey will have the ICC official logo of the event, the Indian team will abide by the ICC rules.
It should be noted that as per ICC law all teams are required to use the approved ‘logo’. According to ICC rules, the name of the host nation must be written on the team jerseys.
