Zimbabwe Cricket has accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board’s invitation to play the tri-nation T20 series in Pakistan after the Afghanistan Cricket Board withdrew from the tri-nation T20 series in Pakistan. The Afghanistan Cricket Board had refused to participate in the tri-nation series scheduled in Pakistan in November due to the recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The tri-nation series will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17 to 29, which included Pakistan and Sri Lanka as well as Afghanistan. However, after Afghanistan refused, the PCB contacted Zimbabwe and invited them to participate in the series, which was accepted. The opening match will be played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe on November 17 in Rawalpindi, while the match between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka will be played on November 19.
