The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has stated that the Canadian Hockey Team has agreed in principle to tour Pakistan, paving the way for a bilateral hockey series between the two countries. The Canadian Hockey Federation has consented to visit Pakistan along with the national team and officials. The Canadian team’s tour of Pakistan is expected in January or February next year.
According to the PHF, the final dates, number of matches, and other arrangements will be decided through mutual consultation. The Canadian Hockey Federation has expressed interest in Pakistan’s hosting capabilities and rich hockey traditions.The PHF also announced that discussions are ongoing for tours by teams from three more countries. Teams from these three countries are expected to visit Pakistan by the end of this year or in the first two months of next year.
