The International Cricket Council has fined Pakistani batter Fakhar Zaman for breaching the code of conduct. The ICC has fined Fakhar Zaman 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the code of conduct during the recent tri-series final against Sri Lanka. According to the ICC, Fakhar Zaman breached Article 2.8, which deals with showing strong reaction or protest against the decision of the umpire during an international match.
According to the ICC, Fakhar Zaman was also given one demerit point. After being dismissed in the 19th over of Pakistan’s innings in the tri-series final, Fakhar Zaman was seen arguing with the umpires at length over their decision.
