No plans to build a stadium in Islamabad at present: CDA

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa has said that there is no intention to build a stadium in Islamabad at present. Talking to the media, the Chairman CDA said that there is no intention to build a cricket stadium in Islamabad yet, however, 25 cricket and 25 football grounds will be built in the city.

He said that a meeting has been held with the PCB on building a cricket stadium in Islamabad. After consulting experts, they will see where to build a cricket stadium in Islamabad. Experts will select the location for the construction of the stadium.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa further said that there are plans to build various sports grounds in Islamabad, and Rashid Latif has been sought for the assistance of the government to upgrade the ground at F9 Park. Earlier, there were reports that the CDA had decided to build a stadium at F9 Park in Islamabad, but later it was clarified that there are no plans to build a new stadium in the park.
