LAHORE : Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry has announced that Punjab contingent’s top performing players in the upcoming Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games will be awarded with handsome prizes and monthly honorarium from Sports Endowment Fund.
Director General Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry made this announcement while talking to media persons at the National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. Director Admin Dr M Kaleem and Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed were also present on this occasion.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that definitely the launching of Sports Endowment Fund is a revolutionary measure of Punjab government. “This fund has a key role in the welfare and development of players across the province”.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry further said that 374 players of Punjab are training hard in their respective training camps. “The best facilities of accommodation, food and training have been provided to the players in Nishtar Park Sports Complex,” he added.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry further said that Sports Board Punjab has provided top standard facilities to all the camp probables and we expect that our players will also try hard to produce satisfactory results in the Quaid-e-Azam Games.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that Punjab will maintain the tradition of winning Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games. “After the Quaid-e-Azam Games, Punjab’s talented athletes will exhibit their sporting potential in the National Games as well,” he maintained.
