SHARJAH: The trophy for the upcoming T20I tri-series featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE was revealed at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, and Muhammad Waseem from the UAE were present at the ceremony.
The series will run from 29 August to 7 September and will help all teams get ready for the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup, also in the UAE, from 9 to 28 September.
Pakistan were originally scheduled to host Afghanistan in a bilateral series, but the PCB decided to expand it into a tri-nation tournament in the UAE to give players match practice in similar conditions.
The tri-series kicks off with Afghanistan facing Pakistan on 29 August at 7:00 pm local time. Each team will play four matches, with the top two advancing to the final on 7 September.
