Islamabad: Two new teams, Hyderabad and Sialkot, have been added to the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The FKS Group purchased a team for Rs 1.75 billion, while OZI Developers acquired another team for Rs 1.85 billion. The auction process for the inclusion of the two new PSL teams was held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad. Following the withdrawal of Ali Tareen, nine parties participated in the bidding process.

The FKS Group was the first to secure the 7th PSL team for Rs 1.75 billion and selected Hyderabad as the team’s home city. Hyderabad team owner, Fuad Sarwar, stated that he grew up in Hyderabad and had always aspired to buy a team representing the city. There was intense competition for the 8th PSL team, which was eventually purchased by OZI Developers for Rs 1.85 billion. The team was named after the city of Sialkot.

Overall, the 7th and 8th PSL teams were sold for a combined total of Rs 3.6 billion. With the inclusion of Hyderabad and Sialkot, the total number of teams in the Pakistan Super League has now increased to eight. Pakistan Super League Season 11 will be held from March 26 to May 3, 2026.
