The demand for PSL has increased due to foreign players preferring Pakistan Super League over Indian Premier League. In an interview given to the media, England cricketer David Willey described the security of PSL as better than IPL. David Willey said that it is not known how the IPL auction will be, but there is more security and assurance of playing in PSL for players. He said that every player has his own situation, some feel that they will get more opportunities to play in PSL instead of sitting on the bench in the dugout for 10 or 11 weeks.
