Karachi: The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team defeated the Zimbabwe Women’s Team by a huge margin of 153 runs in the first T20 of the 3-match series. Batting first, Pakistan scored 237 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Zimbabwe were bowled out for 84 runs in pursuit of the target.
Ayesha Zafar played an unbeaten innings of 102 runs for Pakistan. In addition, Alia Riaz scored 48 runs off 23 balls, while Gul Feroza played an innings of 37 runs. In reply, Zimbabwe Women’s team was bowled out for 84 runs in 18.2 overs. Antasha Tomba scored 24 runs and Adeel Zamno scored 18 runs. Fatima Sana took 3 wickets for Pakistan Women’s team, while Sadia Iqbal and Natalia Pervez took 2 wickets each. Thus, Pakistan Women’s team took a 0-1 lead in the 3-match series.
