New History in Women’s Cricket: Smriti Mandhana Breaks Record for Most Centuries and Runs.

Indian women cricketer Smriti Mandhana has created a new history in women’s international cricket. She has become the batter with the most centuries and the most runs.

On Thursday, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana set the world record for the most runs in women’s international cricket. Smriti Mandhana achieved this milestone during a match against Hong Kong in the group stage of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The 30-year-old Indian opener had scored 10,756 runs in international cricket before the match. However, with a brilliant century, she broke the record of former Indian captain Mithali Raj.

Smriti Mandhana played a blazing innings of 124 runs off just 64 balls, which included 21 fours and 7 sixes. With this innings, she earned the title of the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket.

Mithali Raj played 12 Tests, 232 ODIs, and 89 T20Is during her illustrious international career and scored a total of 10,868 runs. She has now moved to second place on the list.

In the list of highest run-scorers in women’s international cricket, Smriti Mandhana tops the list with 10,880 runs.

During the same innings, Smriti Mandhana also broke the record for the most centuries in women’s international cricket.
